Nissan R-12 AC fittings

The a/c isn't working all that well in my '93 Sentra. I think it needs recharged. I can only hook up the low side of my gauge set (it runs at about 25 psi) because the high side fitting is too small. Do Nissans require a special fitting for the high side?

Re: Nissan R-12 AC fittings

You need an adapter set. I believe Lisle and Blue Point make sets.

Re: Nissan R-12 AC fittings

Get it vacuumed and recharged with CFC free gases (aka hydrocarbons). Your AC will work better than if you convert it to R134a.

As already mentioned, you can get adapters for the fittings. The vehicle I have which originally had R12 only had a low-side port, no high pressure side fittings.
