2001 Town Car Died
Wife was driving car when she hit bad bump in road and the car just died and would not restart.Engine would turn over just fine but would not start. She was lucky that a gentleman helped her and all he did was tap on something near the battery on the passenger side of car and it started and ran just fine.Is there a safety switch or a relay that could caused that to happen and if it did i would think that it needs to be replaced.
Any help would be appreciated. Bob |

The only thing (in 2001) that I can think of might be the master control relays. There are three of them doing different jobs. One may be failing. Check the Power Distribution Box.... several master fuses, and three relays in there.. their interchangable in a pinch.
