I finally have enough money to get a good bulletin board.
Which board do you prefer I use?
UBB or vBulletin?
I'm leaning towards vBulletin right now since it's faster and can handle larger discussions.
Here are the examples of theses programs:
UBB http://www.scriptkeeper.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi
and
vBulletin http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/index.php

also,
does anybody know perl?
I need a program that would convert the data from BoardPower to either vB or UBB since I don't want to lose any posts or member stats.

Thanks.

Hey Igor-
I too prefer the vBulletin format. Looks a little sharper than UBB as well. Let's go for that one! Thanks,
JD

I liked the vBulletin better, but disliked the color scheme. I assume you can change the colors though.

yeah, I will be able to change everything including the color scheme, layout, the positioning of the links..... virtually anything. But I like vB more since it uses database and php, which is faster and more reliable [and cheaper].

VBulletin looks a little better than the UBB. So VB.

Yeah, vB, seems more user friendly and nicer-looking.

How come it edits curse words? That's kinda gay IMO. If people want to curse, they should be allowed to !

We will be switching to vBulletin in the next few days, hopefully.
Let's all thank Sueyoshi Gen for making the conversion script from BP to vB. He's such a great guy! He's a webmaster over at http://www.baseballsimcentral.com

Talking

I know I'm a little late since we already switched to V-Bulletin, but I prefer VB as well.

They look a little sharper, and I like the smilies better

Hey fellas.
Well, the reason I switched to vB is because Gen Sueyoshi made a conversion script from Board Power to vB. And I now understand how lucky I got that he made the script before the other guy [who is still 'working' on BP to UBB conversion script...]
vB is so much better than UBB. It has so many more features you guys will be impressed!
Singing-> I'm so~ happy I got vB ...I'm so happy I got vB... tara rari rarara I'm so happy
