Welcome to Golf Doktor

As some of you know, a few weeks ago i went into work, and i was told i no longer had a job. Which was a bit of a blow.

Luckily, being a sneaky bugger i had already spoken to my good friend Brian at Golf Doktor about a job with him. He'd mentioned me to his boss who was willing to give me a chance.

Well, thanks to the old shop's dodgy tax thing, i got paid for 6 days i didn't work, which also happened to be the 6 days i spent relaxing between the two jobs! I went down to Golf Doktor, spoke to the boss and he told me i had the job, which was great news.

Well, i've been there for a couple weeks and i love it! So laid back, great enviroment and being surrounded by VeeDubs and working on them all day i'm practicially in heaven!

Anyway, onto the pics!

Golf Doktor is basically a workshop that's located in one end of an underground car park. This is "Golf Doktor Ave." as i call it. We do all VW-Audi Group cars, so our section of the car park is always packed with nice German cars!

We wouldn't be Golf Doktor without a suitable number of Golfs. The rental company we're joined with runs a mostly Golfs, so there's always work for us from there. And the boss buys wrecks for us to rebuild and sell on.

Three of the wrecks, two have been rebuilt, the one in the middle needs some work on the other side.

Some of our wrecks, most of these are rentals that've been thrashed and trashed. There are three or four more that are wrecked that i don't have pics of.

This MK V only has 704 miles on the clock!

This is our MK IV donor car, don't know the story behind it, but it's provided us with plenty of parts.

It wouldn't polish out..

My current project, bought from a salvage auction. Chassis needs to be put in a jig, needs a bit of cut 'n' shut too.

It had a severely bent wishbone and driveshaft, the idiot that lost his job to me also buckled the subframe by using it to jack up the car badly. I stuck an old battery in this, jumped it and it started first time. Runs like a dream even without the induction pipes and intercooler!

I tried putting it in gear to move it, it just made a clicking sound. Turns out where the driveshaft had bent the inner CV joint was broken too. Cause of the problem:

I quickly stuck on a wishbone and driveshaft from the donor car and drove it off! Then it was time to put in one of these:

How it sat while the new subframe went in. After i did that i wanted to see how it went, so i put it on the ground, put a jack under to door and slammed it to close it and drove around! It's great fun to drive as a wreck..

This is the "plastic surgery" of Golf Doktor..

This is what my office looks like; concrete floor, axle stand and a broken VW-Audi Group car!

That my job in a nutshell. I love it!

Hope y'all enjoyed the pics!
Moose.

I met a guy once who put a 1.8T into a new-ish Polo. It was the 225bhp version from an early TT, that had been chipped. That was fast enough, a Lupo with that would be scary!

I have watched a video of one on Youtube with the 225bhp version of the engine, the car was going over 260 Km/h IIRC.
