94 t-bird Shifting Issue.

94 t-bird. 4.6 v-8, automatic. While im driving i notice that the transmission will all of a sudden downshift to the next gear on its own for a couple seconds and then right itself out. it also sometimes shifts into neutral on its own and then rights itself out. i havent noticed it do this when the o/d is disengaged. could anyone help me out?

Welcome to the forum digglett21. Sorry it took so long but I missed your post. Go to the #8 post in the Tech help thread at the top of the forum. Be sure to drain the torque converter along with the transmission when doing this.
