oil pump location and removal?

I want to know where it is and what needs to come off to get to it. I thought it was a rod knocking but from under the car there is very little noise. Up top there is a knocking sound and there is very little oil coming out of the rockers when the valve cover is off. Oil light is on, car is full on stick. Must be the oil pump. right?

Re: oil pump location and removal?

The oil pump is on the passenger side of the engine. You will need to take off the timing belt cover to get to it.

The oil light coming on could be a bad sensor.
