97 Grand AM 2.4 Motor Fan
My daughter's 97 Grand Am has been overheating lately but only after driving for quite awhile (45 minutes). When I looked into this I noticed that the Motor (Raditor) Fan was not coming on at all. Where should I start in trying to figure out what is wrong and can I have the Fan tested to see if it works at all?
Thanks |

Re: 97 Grand AM 2.4 Motor Fan
Welcome to AF.
Thier is a relays for the fan in the engine compartment. It might be right by the radiator. The fan should also come on when the AC is turned on high or max. Yes you can have it tested. I would also try a cooling system flush and replacing the thermostat to alleviate the running hot. Hope that helps

Re: 97 Grand AM 2.4 Motor Fan
Is replacing the Thermostat on the 2.4 as horrible as replacing the Water Pump as far as difficulty?
