Best lowering springs?

I know many people have opinions on this, and I was wondering for a daily driver that needs a mild drop, which would be the best lowering springs? I'm leaning towards eibach sportlines for my '91 hatch i'm picking up next monday

Re: Best lowering springs?

never had any kind of performance springs on my car, but i am opted to get the Tokico shock and spring setup, for a mild 1.25" drop. p.s. sportlines have bit more agressive drop.imo.

Re: Best lowering springs?

the first question is: how much are you willing to spend. answer that and we can give you a multitude of choices

Re: Best lowering springs?

koni/GC, or illuminas gets my vote for most apps. You can get the springs in any rate you like so you can custom fit the setup to your liking before ordering. Mine are 300/200 and I think its just fine if not a tad soft. The stock GC setup is like 350/225 I think. Here use this.

Re: Best lowering springs?

Just did some pricing and new twin-tube KYB struts and the matrix ($120) coilover setup would only run me $350... I believe this is the route I'm gonna go... any thoughts?

Re: Best lowering springs?

wtf is a matrix coil over set? and if your speaking about the kyb gr-2's they are stock replacements..and stiff springs will blow them with short order.

Re: Best lowering springs?

matrix was the coil over set from summit racing... can anyone point me in the direction of somewhat affordable struts for lowered suspension?

Re: Best lowering springs?

whats your budget for struts... you gave us the budget on springs only. Koni's are nice, tokico's are nice as well

Re: Best lowering springs?

well I'd much rather save a few months to get some nice struts rather than hold back my possibilities with a budget once I sell my mustang I'll have $300 a month to blow on the civ

Re: Best lowering springs?

Re: Best lowering springs?

depending on how much you lower it, you dont need a camber kit
