Priming surface?
How smooth should the primer surface be before top coats are put on??
Is #2000 sandpaper smooth enough?? |

yea i think 2000 will be good enough but if u want to go ahead and use a more grit go ahead

Hey Pman you said in the FAQ that after you finish priming you compound and wax it??
Pman said "After you have finished the last coat...leave for 10-12 days.......rub with some compound then finish with a wax." How come cause don't you just put top coat over it later won't the wax react with the top coat or won't the top coat just cover the wax and the shine?? |

he means that you put the compound and wax on after the final coat of Paint not primer

With all due respect, I don't see why you should sand the primer, it goes on very smooth right away, I've tried sanding the primer with 2000 grit paper and never saw any difference. I just stopped sanding it.
Maybe I'm missing something.
