oil leak for 2000 regal

I think my oil pan is leaking. Has any body ever changed their oil pan on a 2000 regal? Is it very hard ? What kind of tools do I need to do this job?

Re: oil leak for 2000 regal

The hardest part is getting clearance to get to the oil pan bolts towards the front of the engine and removing the oil pan to replace the gasket. The engine/tranny subframe is in the way. You have to hold the engine/tranny with a hoist and then drop down the subframe assembly.

For now make sure none of the bolts are loose and check tightness/torque of bolts with a torque wrench. 89 in-lbs.
