i got a 95 pontiac sunfire and it has a knocking noise from the lower end of the motor...could it be a bearing and is it possible to fix it with out pulling the motor out?

Re: knocking noise in the lower end of a 2.2 l

I have the same problem in my 94 RS.I was told it is either the timing chain guides or a spun bearing. Most likey you will have to pull the motor, it will make it easier. Is your motor down on power? If i am wrong please correct me. I also would like to know what my noise is.Hope this will help.
