Ignition Timing
As an addition to my last cylinder head job thread, (on a 1998 5.7L K1500) I saw somewhere that if the distributor is removed (as it was when I removed the intake) the dealer has to reset the timing curve. I marked the distributor before I removed it and the reinstalled it as close as I could to the original position. It seems to run fine and there's no codes, but I wanted to make sure before it got too many miles. Thanks.

Re: Ignition Timing
You just need to hook it up to a good scantool and check the cam retard to see if it is in spec and adjust the distributor if necessary, it should be 0 degrees +/- 2 degrees
