Exclamation Gas Pedal Issue

I have a 2003 New Beetle, I get it serviced regularly and take good care of it. During the past two weeks while driving, when I press my foot on the gas pedal, the car will randomly lose power. It has happened about six or seven times now. It almost feels as if it is breaking instead of accellerating. I was almost rear-ended today because my car decided to stop accelerating in a 50 MPH zone. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem? I am taking it to the dealership on Saturday, I just want a heads-up of what could be causing the issue.

Re: Gas Pedal Issue

Really it could be one of a hundred possibles from a blocked fuel filter to a coil pack breaking down but from your description it sounds more as though its fuel related.
Good Luck
