96 chrysler cirrus break light on help!

My break light keeps coming on, and my breaks act like they won't stop, until I pump them a little, then it will stop, happening alot lately, car place says breaks are o.k. but they are not! Help! Anyone out there offering a suggestion would help!

check for leaks in the brake system if none are found replace the master cylinder. make sure you pop the rubber boots off the wheel cylinders and make sure they are not wet. but it sure sounds like a master cylinder
