Drain and fill

Do I put the 50/50 stuff back in or full dex cool? This is a 2000 GA SE with 2.4L Dex Cool. I want to put Dex Cool back in it.

Re: Drain and fill

The final mix should be 50/50 (or whatever you need for freeze protection). If you just drained and filled, add 50/50 to it. If you flushed the block with water, add 1/2 the capacity of straight coolant, then top it off with water.

Re: Drain and fill

If it was entirely empty it takes about 3 gallons total. Fill it with the appropriate mix and bleed the system. The quad motors can take a while to bleed, mine used to take me about 45 minutes for the tstat to open and close several times and it will swallow a bit more coolant during the process.
