Question HELP!!!My 4 Wheel Drive Is Not Working Right!

Ok I am having a problem with the truck disengaging from 4x4. It happened before and all I had to do was put it back in 4x4 and take it out again. Tonight I tried taht and it did not work! The truck continued to make a funny noise and steer funny. Then it began to smell funny! Has anyone ever heard of this? Any ideas what to do about it?

Thanks

Candy

Re: HELP!!!My 4 Wheel Drive Is Not Working Right!

I've been having the same problems and now get it out of 4wd at all. I'd be interested in knowing if you got it fixed and what the problem was/is. Since I can't fix the problem or afford someone else to, I just took the front drive shaft off. I don't care if I have 4wd. Anybody got opions about this?
