That looks nice, is it an autoart? Did you do anything to the kit?

Re: My superdetailed F599GTB (HW Elite base)

Can you give us a run down of all the small mods and detailing you did? Looks like you did a bit of work on the interior but can you tell us what you did and how you did it?

Are you happy with the end result? For the price Hot Wheels Elites go for, I'd think they shouldn't need detailing!

Re: My superdetailed F599GTB (HW Elite base)

Thanx to all you guys.
Yes, i did lots of work on the interior. Everything has been repainted, i add carpets, 4 point seat belts, CF decal on dashboard, seats, central console, steering wheel. I add lots of detail, knobs on the climate panel control are totally redone.
BBS rims are from the 360 CS, big work to achieve a decent wheel alignement.
Brake discs are from plastic sheet correctly sized, drilled and painted as carbo-ceramics ones.
All CF decals have been clear coated with Mr Hobby Super Clear.
I'm happy with this result, but i had lots of troubles painting the body with spray cans.
Hot Wheels Elites are not a great quality/detailed model cars for the price they go for

Re: My superdetailed F599GTB (HW Elite base)

That is amazing work. I've seen the base model in the Elite range and whilst it isn't as good as the Kyosho/ AutoArt models for the same money, if you like this car and want to have in 1/18 scale, you have no choice. I've been toying of the idea of of buying a scale plastic kit and building one up to 1/24 scale as there are photo etch upgrade kit parts available. However, no plastic model will have the opening features of a modern diecast. I love the colour! What colour did you use?
