Badass 86

For some reason this guy is running carbs

He's detuned it, so it only does 9-10K rpm...

Very nice car. Crazy ratio on that tranny.

I've seen a lot of guys convert from EFI to carb. Easier to work with maybe? I don't know, I haven't touched a carb since my old V8 Diplomat I drove when I was 17.

Carbs are much easier to tune, but they're a bitch for a daily driver... EFI is the best if you just take the time to tune it properly.

Why is it pulling up the front inside tire?!!!

That car is rediculous. I bet it hits gear limited top-speed at 90mph.
It's insane!

Carbs sound better...
and there cheeper than a full blown EFI set up..the hot trend in Japan for the Touge monsters is FCRs..

depends where you live, here in Australia, we have a plethora of good cheap after maket efi computers, wolf 3d, mircotech, haltech, and also not so cheap, autronic and ofcourse motec, in all ways efi is better, its just weather you can find something suitable for your application, that you can afford. here you can get throttle bodies alot like weber side draughts, with injector mounts built in, and theres also a place here that makes flat slides for 4ag's, it depends who's building the car too, some guys have been working with carbs for a long time, and thats just what theyre comfortable with, peak power if set up correctly will be similar, but torque and driveability will always be better with efi.
