Smile 96 PA - Noise from the passenger side

When I am drive at low speed, I am hearing noise from the passenger side, sounds like I have couple tin cans on string tied behind the car. I am puzzle as to what it is. I know it is not the exhaust. I jacked the car up and did see anything. It only happens at low speed. It does happen when idling, or if I rev the engine. Please help.

Re: 96 PA - Noise from the passenger side

More than likely, what you are hearing is the catalytic converter. When this thing breaks loose from the inside, fragments of the catalysts swirl around in the housing and sound like “tin cans dragging behind the car". Take it to a muffler shop where they can put it in a rack for inspection. (You can not see this from the outside). Replacement cats run around 125-175 bucks installed, depending on where you take it. MagnaFlow cats are a good replacement.
