Couple races and some real luck

Well I went and bought some nitto dr's last week and put them on after saying good buy to the old shitty ones, now I can actually let it rip outta the hole pretty good and get moving, ive been practicing launching alot too.
Anyways I came across an evo but there was alot of traffic so I followed him around for a bit and he made it clear he noticed me, by droping a gear and speeding up a few times agressively. I pulled up beside him hoping the light would change and it did, so were sitting at the light waiting for green and I look at his car, its actually really nice, looked lowered, dark tint, nice wheels, really bright lights, just real clean looking. Other light goes yellow and I prepare for launch and I hear him do the same, green and were off, I actually pulled him right out of the hole and put like 3 and a half cars to 80 but I slowed for traffic.

Then way later sometime after 12 I was driving with a lady friend just crusing around and a niice mach 1 mustang came up beside us, it looked stock but it was the sound that really was nice, really loud and throaty. Anyways we line up at about 60 and go, he actually kept up exactly even until 100 or so when I really started to walk away from him I was about 3 cars up and gaining nicely but I saw something fishy up ahead a dark car just sitting in the shoulder, so I started slowing down really hard and so did the stang probly thinking I wanted to go again but as soon as we went past that car It roared out with red and blue lights, I was in the right lane so I just pulled over and thought shit ill be as polite as I can and hope for the best. Cop starts to slow down for me but the mustang kept going and had a red light up ahead a bit, but the cop doesnt pull behind me he drives right beside real slow and shakes his head real angry at me and keeps going for the mustang, which then takes a right and WOT and the cop follows, I took that as my que to GTFO.

Im actually going to the track tommorow now that I got the good tires hoping for maybe 13.0 for now seeing as it will be my first time.

yea: thats pretty much like driving with your eyes closed, feet taped together, ears plugged, and being able to make it all the way home from 3 states away, and have no accidents lol

Did something similar once in my youth.

It was more like: no license plates, no insurance, and no proof of ownership, and then casually driving through customs to bring my car home. True story.

So you really ripped an AWD Evo out of the hole? The put 3 lenghts on him? Or was it a FWD Lancer look a like?

Re: Couple races and some real luck

It was definitly an evo, I know someone who has one. He may have bogged his launch, but I hooked perfect and just took off.

I also got to the track and got only 2 runs, but the best of the 2 was 13.15 @ 112. My first time I hope I can improve that a bit Im confident I can break 12.99

very nice, getting AWD out of the hole is like nailing that hot chick, you thought was too hot to go out with you, but ends up coming back for more.

AWESOME

Re: Couple races and some real luck

What was your 60' times for the 2 runs? Judging by the trap speed it looks like hooking it up was a problem.
