Ebay headers & catback

I was just wondering, there are a lot of shitty parts sold on ebay, but you can also get some nice deals, so what would i look for in a header and cat back off of ebay? I was going to get a megan racing exhaust, but i dont really wanna spend that much cash on an exhaust thats only going to gain me maybe 10hp... Anyone have sellers or brands to recommend? Thanks

Re: Ebay headers & catback

I have Tsudo header and cat-back. Cheap, but efficient. Works well and have had no problem. It looks like my header may be cracking soon from rust from dripping coolant. Probably caused warpage action, but it's been great. Perfect fit also. Buy a header with flanges though, not the "pop-in" style. Those leak mad-style.

Re: Ebay headers & catback

I had an ebay header before the turbo. It fit like shit and it was the slip in connecter and it leaked like hell. But I would still buy one, they are pretty cheap.

Re: Ebay headers & catback

Yeah, you can get exhaust systems for pretty cheap. So if they do fit like crap, how much time do you have to dick with the installation to get it to fit?

Re: Ebay headers & catback

It's hard to find the cheapos with the flanges nowadays. They're all the slip in kind, which are shit. But if you look hard enough you can still find them. Those are the best.

Re: Ebay headers & catback

I hate the fitted slip ins ( header and down pipe ) and it leaks like shit. The fit was right on and bolted on tightly and perfect except where there is no real seal , your exhaust comes spilling out and after being heated and cooled so many times , the shitty cheap metal begins to warp allowing more and more exhaust to escape. I dread having to warm my car up in the morning because if I do and then come back and open the door it's like a blast of exhaust in the face lol..not good or healthy.

Slip in :

Flange / bolt on :
