[2002 Cavalier] Front Bumper and Left Headlight + Marker

I purchased a 2002 Cavalier recently and although I thought I knew how to drive but I managed to crash already. The front bumper is damaged as well as the front left headlight being knocked out. I really dont know much about cars so I took it in to get an estimate to get it repaired... it was 1600 dollars exlcluding taxes. The guy said it was a front bumper, side marker light and then a re alignment. Im just wondering if there is anything I can do to lower the price as I really dont have that money right now. I can get some pictures of it if that would be helpful. And any advice is appreciated, thank you.
