HELLO MY PROJECT!!! lots of pictures and im back

Hey havent been here for a while, for the people that remember me whats up and for the people who dont hello

i had spyder modded but now its my DD and stock down to the airbox. and this is my lil project i have messing with for a few months. 1990 gsx, got it and didnt do a comp test and had a good 0 compression on cylinder #1

and ill let the pictures talk themselves

heres when i got it, doesnt have those wheels anymore didnt really like them






Pulled the head off to see what im working with and decided to drop the pistons to replace rings and this is what i found

CAN YOU SPOT WHAT IS WRONG?



If not lets get a little closer


so i looked at the cylinder wall and it was done for, so the block needed to come out also.

and here is the process










and its outta there !!!!







New parts ordered:






Fresh block



Nice Fresh head

and of course have to upgrade the turbo
FP20g

this is the oil pump with all new seals and Balance shafts removed




and its in!!!



started up and idled good then just shut off on me!!!! im actually still working on it everything is back on except one motor mount and the 2 front tires. i diagnose the shut off and my uel pump does not come on. so this is where im at right now. thanks for looking and im sure ill be around more often

I see the 20g isin't on the car in the last pic. Are you waiting for the motor to break in before you install it?

yeah im gonna break it in with the 14b because im doing a motoman break in, and dont feel like boosting high with the 20g and beingg in the danger zone

lol plus i have to take off the turbo and easy out an exhaust stud that snapped

Nice project, you had to open the bottom side to get at the pistons right? LOL

6th pick with pistons on the chair looks like you had the block in tact and magically pulled the pistons up thru the top.

yeah lol mine are detachable from the top

nah yeah the pan, axle, and transfer case needed to come off so i can get them to pop up. when i was under the car and pushing number one up, a piece of the broken piston ring hit me in the face and i was like wtf?

So what's next on the mod list? I'm assuming you just did a rebuild with all stock internals aside from the ARP studs and ACL bearings?

yeah thats all really i could afford, but when i get the extra cash im buying forged pistons, and a nice set of rods, and just gonna give it a hone and slide those puppies in

for now i think the 20g will keep me happy enough and it should all hold up.
