2000 s-10 Pick-up, Fuel Pump, I think
My son's S-10 would not start yesterday. No previous problems.
Do not hear the fuel pump whine when key is turned. Relay does click and fuse is OK. Runs momentarily with starting fluid. Two questions: 1. Where is the fuel pump test wire located on this vehicle? 2. Assuming it is the fuel pump, has anyone trying lifting/moving the box instead of dropping the tank? I did this on a 1988 s-10 and it worked quite well. Vehicle is a 4WD, 6 cyl. Thanks |

Re: 2000 s-10 Pick-up, Fuel Pump, I think
Hey guess what? I fixed it!.
Actually, I cannot take credit. Thanks to an excellent post in the "how to" section by DelCoch I checked out the battery voltage. Sure enough, it was low and once charged, it started right up. Saved me a ton of unnecessary work and expense. Hope this saves someone else the same. |
