Newbie Hello & Clock Question
Hi all, bit of an intro first. I live in Nova Scotia Canada, and I'm in my senior years. Been working on various things including diesel locomotives and many models of cars and trucks in my life time, but it's time to slow down so I just now retired my 84 Buick, the rust is getting the better of me and its too difficult working on cold cement floors and I intend to enjoy life from now on.
I've only bought 3 new cars in my lifetime, prefering used ones that needed a little work at a better price. In December past, I purchased a 2005 Sunfire at a good price, figured how everything worked except for the time display on the radio console. Well I've pushed many differen't combinations of buttons on the radio in attempts to set the clock, but so far I haven't succeded . So my question is " How does one set the time display?" Oh! yes I haven't tried setting the presets for the radio stations as I just use the seek button, so if anyone has the information and wouldn't mind passing it on, I sure would appreciate knowing how it's done. Cheers Willis |

Re: Newbie Hello & Clock Question
Welcome! I live in Nova Scotia too...anyway, the clock set buttons on mine are under the tuning dial for radio...2 little buttons with hr and min on them. As for radio presets you get the station you want...say Q104 and then you press and hold either 1,2,3,4,5,6 until you hear a small beep through your speakers. Hope that helps, like I said that is how you do it with my car, could be different from yours.

Re: Newbie Hello & Clock Question
Thanks for the reply Matthew , but mine doesn't have those buttons. Had to go to the garage for a look so maybe it's a different model than yours.
The volume knob is marked "RCL- Volume" when I push it in the clock is displayed, but nothing changes when I rotate it, or the tuning knob while its pressed. The unit is also a CD player. Heres an out of focus picture. ![]() It's still got me puzzled Willis

Re: Newbie Hello & Clock Question
Owners manuals hold quite valuable knowledge. ;-)

Re: Newbie Hello & Clock Question
Sorry for the long wait Willis... ppl on e-bay don't like to stick to their shipping agreements in their auctions. This is for 03-05 cavalier/ sunfires.
![]() ..enjoy.

I was sort of laying across the seats to get a close up look and noticed what looked like a bit of lettering indented into the plastic (barely visible close up) just over the up/down Arrows used for adjusting the audio Bas; Treb; Fade; L&R speakers. Sure enough one was for the hour and the other for the min. Pressed and held it for the beep and set the time. Many thanks to all for the help Take care Willis
