When the headlight switch is turned to the parking light position, there are no parking lights or instrument panel lights. The fuse is intact, the key chime (on the same fuse) works properly and headlights work properly. Could the headlight switch in parking mode be the problem. I guess changing the headlight switch would give me the answer. Any thoughts?

Are we to understand, then, that the marker lamps and instrument lighting works when the headlights are on?

Negative. The marker lamps and instrument lighting don't work in either parking (marker) mode or headlight mode. They are out completley. I checked the fuses, changed them and have replaced the headlight switch. No joy.

Thanks for the reply.

you lost the ground, im not sure where it is on your car, but turn them on pull a blub out use a test light and test the two positive polls in the socket, if the test light works (lights up), call the dealer ask where the ground poll is at for that circuit, clean it and reground it properly...
