87 cutlass cierra die out constantly

I can turn it on and rev the engine, but most of the time once I put her in drive she drops into gear and starts to die out. It eventually made the car undrivable, but I am trying as hard as I can to ressurect her. I need all the help I can get. Thanks

Check the fuel pressure for starters, no mention of engine, as usual here!!, look for about 37psi.

Sorry, it's a 2.8 v6, about 85,000 miles.

Thank you I will check that, but if you have more suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Gotta eliminate the fuel pump or regulator first, especially on a 20 year old engine/car.

I had an 89 with the same problem. It was actually a short in the trans. Was inexpensive to find and fix.
