2003 Cavalier, keyless entry problem

I just recently discovered that my keyless entry does not function anymore. It wont respond to any of the remotes i have, I still have the 2 stock remotes that came with the vehicle. It cant be the battery, since i've never used one of the remotes, and i tried to use it, but it doesnt work either. It's been acting kind of strange, not unlocking the doors immediatly, having to press the unlock button more than 2-3 times just to unlock the passanger doors.
