'67 Impala
hi everybody!
i had this car since a birthday many years ago. i didn't knew anythig about modelism, so i build it and blew it... i decided to give it a second chance, inspired on the amaizing job that you guys do with your cars. mine isn't so good as yours, but be careful, i'm aiming to your level it used to be the AMT kit, unfortunately i forget to take the before pics... i changed some pieces like the mainfold, carburetors, air filter, wheels, seats, steering wheel and all the parts that where just crappy... i like the results, but still have to do some work. i'll apreciatte your coments a critics in order to improve my skills ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Greetings! Re: '67 Impala
I think that looks excellent! Are those Dukes of Hazzard Dodge Charger style wheels?

Re: '67 Impala
Well, what's not to like?
I think you did splendid! A good kit or not? It still has to go into my collection some time very soon as I'm trying to build as many Impala's as I can. Please be a little patient with us people here, sometime it takes a while before the comments starts coming. If they for some reason don't show up, keep your head high and keep posting. Thank's for sharing. Niclas |

Re: '67 Impala
Not much to say--it looks pretty impressive!
Did the exhaust not come in the kit? If not, you can fabricate it out of styrene tube, or wiring solder of the correct diameter. The solder is easier to bend but will require CA glue to put together. The styrene tube will have to be heated up with a candle and carefully bent in the right shape. Since the car's already assembled, I'd suggest doing a simple side exit exhaust (tips angle out and back in front of the rear wheels) rather than trying to snake it around the rear axle. |

Re: '67 Impala
I like it very much! The color is perfect especially with the white stripes. I also like the wheels on it. Aside from the look, it seems like you've built it really cleanly. It looks very nice! If you're aiming to build as well as some of our better builders, you've not much further to go! That's a stellar build.
Like tigeraid said, I'd use solder to make the exhaust headers. They will be easier and more forgiving to bend to shape. Then use some heatshrink tubing for the collector, and aluminum tube/rod/thicker solder for the rest of the pipe. I think there is a tutorial around here but I'm not totally sure. Great work! Keep it up! Keep sharing!

since i didn't use the kit gearbox, the driveshaft had to be modified, i had to add 7 mm. but since that pic, i finished the model with the driveshaft and the exhaust |
