Blown tranny or broken axle???

i was doing donuts in a parking lot(me being the dumbass that i am) i let the rpm's rev to high and then i couldnt go newhere. when i shift it into a gear u can here the tranny spinning, but it doesnt move.My 1st guess would be the tranny but the tranny seems like its moveing but its not getting to the wheels thats why i also think it might be the front axle???/ help please

Re: Blown tranny or broken axle???

it has 2 cv axles, and if they were broken, you would hear a hella loud clanking and so on in the front, while still going nowhere. could be anything from the whole tranny to the chain inside the tranny that drives the differentail, to almost anything else. the pump may have fragged. sad to say the list goes on and on. any more details about sounds or what it's doing might help.

Re: Blown tranny or broken axle???

k when you turn the car on it starts up fine but u can here like a grinding sound, especially when you change gears so thats why i tought it was the tranny .But also when u change the gears the rpms go up from 1st then up at 2nd and the same as drive,so the tranny is spinning i just cat go newhere. But like i said u can hear a grinding sound and its pretty loud.I going to take a better look at it soon because i cant really afford to put it into a shop.
