2002 f 150 auto trans hard downshift

merry X-mas all!!
santa brought me a 2002 f150 supercrew for farm use, 85K miles. On cold start all is great, smooth shifting all around. As the trans heats up, upshift is fine, but downshift during acceleration is VERY hard, is accompanied by pronounced thump and can be felt in the floor. Seems to do the same, although not as hard when OD is off. does not seem to do it at all when hammer the pedal??

Any thoughts appreciated!!

check the trans mount think it is broke. if it looks good try to pry it up and see if it comes apart the rubber gets old and will break
