Ferrari F40 stradale

Hello, after two years of my membership in this forum I have decided to publish a wip.
The model is the tamiya 1 / 24.

Re: Ferrari F40 stradale

What do you mean by Stradale? Will you add racing stripes and BBS-wheels like Ferrari did on the 360?

Re: Ferrari F40 stradale

I called to distinguish it from the road version presentation, which had the mirrors mounted on deflectors and a different grid rear side.
(Sorry my way to write in English)

Re: Ferrari F40 stradale

Bull: have a look at the MPWR F40 thread, would be useful to fix the bad fitting of the rear trunk in the tamy model.

Re: Ferrari F40 stradale

Maybe I am missing something but all I can really see are the mirror and window differences?! What do I not see? Regardless, love F40's and your build.

Re: Ferrari F40 stradale

more to the point, does anyone even make a kit of the prototype version of the car?
not to mention that if I recall correctly, early road cars had the plexiglass slide windows anyway so the only surface/visible differences are the wing mirrors.

Re: Ferrari F40 stradale

Fujimi's 1/24 F40 is based on the prototype. If I recall correctly, in addition to mirrors and windows the interior door panels are different and there are five vents behind the rear tyres where the production version has only four.

Re: Ferrari F40 stradale

Yes, all correct.
The prototype had 600 HP.

Re: Ferrari F40 stradale

God, the F40 is my dream car. A few years ago I stumbled upon one of the prototypes at Lamb of Dallas.

Also the Italeri F40 (the street kind) represent the proto.

There are other few differences: different vents on the plexiglass engine hood (the real glass was warmcasted 2Km close to my home, I seen the evolutions) and different air ducts (they was pipes in the proto, a metal casted "airbox" on the final car). I'm sure there are some few other mods that I forgot.
