anybody know how to fix a leak in the servo cover of a th350c its in a 1986 c10 carbed 5.0L . What holds the cover on and where can i find a seal if there is one . any help is appreciated Im a little out of my field when it comes to tranny work but otherwise ok mechanic.

i would try some transmission seal conditioner first if this is a small leak. if you must add fluid weekly then you most likely need a new piston/seal on the intermediate servo the piston and seal are one assembly. there is a retainer ring to remove then the assembly will come apart. are you sure you can do this? i guess there's nothing to loose..........give a go good luck....... |

Thanks for the response took care of it this morning and all is good atleast so far. I finally found an exploded view of the tranny and that let me see what I was up against it ended up being less than 10.00 in parts and only about an hour of work if that long. Thanks Again ,CHVYGUY
