Waiting With Baited Breath
As many of you know, Project X is now Project Wrecked X. Since a New York transplant reformed my rear bumper I decided it would be nice of her to repay my lost time with a brand new CalMini rear bumper with tire carrier and class III receiver hitch. I ordered the bumper shortly after the accident. Well, I spoke with CalMini yesterday and all is looking good towards an end of the month shipping date at this moment. If all goes according to plan, I should have my new bumper in place by the middle of November.
I saw some posts here regarding some of the new CalMini parts and I thought I would offer some important things you should know. CalMini builds their products in house. They photo shoot a preliminary item to let everyone know they are coming and begin taking orders. They also only build a limited production of any item initially and don't start production again until demand warrants it. What this means is that if you see something you would like to acquire, make sure you order it early enough to get it before the item comes off production line. You will have to wait for it while it is being built, but it guarantees you will get the item you want. When my new bumper arrives, I will post a how-to on my website and photos here so you guys can see what it looks like in use. |

I think it was one of those hook-in-cheek expressions. :alien:

Ha, ha, fish boy eh? Just remember that people said the same thing about the air locker I bought from AC. You may be right, but I am willing to take the risk to see if I can get what I want. It could be worse, I could be buying a KMA bumper! :finger: Heeyuk, heeyuk.
Besides, I am a product of the Confederate schools system!Quote:

Nope, pretty much the whole swing arm has been rebuilt. I put on the adjustable tire mount arm and three bolt (properly spaced I might add!) tire mount, added the mounting and bracket for the gas can, added the hi-lift mount, and put the tab on to mount the license plate to. It's amazing what you can do with Turbo CAD, a bandsaw, a welder, some extra plate steel, a trailer hitch receiver, some bolts, and a couple cans of Rustoleum!
