Hi I am looking on here to see if anyone will be able to tell me where the starter is on this car and if it is replaceable by me or should I leave it to the pros

Re: 1994 jetta engine 2.0
Your starter is in the front of the engine, by the transmission. It is held in by two bolts and has hot wires going to it. You need to disconnect the battery. It is easy to remove, but one of the bolts is part of the front engine mount. It will require you to have a jack to support the weight of the engine while you remove the upper starter mount bolt.

It sounds like you battery may have died. Try charging it for awhile before you replace the starter.
