1987 325e blower resistor; where is it?!?

I am pretty sure my blower speed control resistor is bad, because only the top speed works. My problem is, I can't find the darned thing! Also, there should be a relay that switches between the high speed circuit and the lower speeds. I don't know which one it is, either. If anyone out there knows where they are for sure, I sure would appreciate a reply. Haynes and Chiltons are just about useless where electrical things are concerned!
