Hi All
I own a 2002 Infiniti QX4 and would like to add another reote entry. I have found the correct FCC# remote, but need the programming instructions. Also would be interested in any sites (other than this one) where valuable information is available, and possibly sources for accessories. As my first SUV, I am like a teenager buying stuff for this vehicle. Already have the QX4 Blvd street sign on the way. Thanks Bob |

This actually works. I found it on Programming a keyless remote for a Qx4 back in November after I had to purchase a replacement:
: I got two keyless entry remote from the dealer and did not get them promgramed. I was hoping not to have to drive to the infiniti dealer being that it is 50+ miles from my home. Can you tell me the steps to programing my keyless entry so I can do it myself. "thanks" : Hi Nate, : I'm going from memory here so it might be best to have the dealer fax you the remote programming pages from the service manual in case I get this messed up. : Anyway... here goes... Get in the vehicle and shut and lock all the doors. Make sure the hood and tailgate are also closed. Take your ignition key and insert it and pull it back out more than 6 times in 10 seconds. This will cause the hazzard lights to flash twice. (Sometimes you have to keep inserting the key up to 12 or 15 times, for some reason these things get touchy). When the hazzard lights flash, that means you have erased any old codes for old remotes. Once the hazzard lights flash, turn the ignition to the accesory postion (not the "on" postion). Now hit any button on one of your new remotes and the hazzard lights should flash once again. Your first new remote is now entered. To do the second remote you now unlock the driver's door manually using the lock button, and then relock it using the electric door lock switch. Now hit any button on your second remote. It is now entered. To end programming turn the ignition off, unlock and open the door. Check both remotes to make sure they work. If they don't.... better have the dealer troubleshoot it. : Tom Thanks Tom that did the trick, I appreciate the help. |
