New maxima owner-questions

Hello maxima fans I have a couple of questions for all of you. First things first, i bought a 98 maxima se and i need a little help. I want to put a few things in the car, the first is a automatic starter but i don't know which one to get ,what would you recommend. Also it seems that the factory alarm remote that i have for the car only works when you are inside the car and not outside what would be the cause of that and what can i do to fix it. I have also heard of people doing alot of stuff to their car so theives can't steal it, I heard the multilock which goes over the gear shifter is good and also the cut off switch is good as well do you recommend any of these and also what other options would you suggest. My car also came with the regular cd sound system and not the bose system what would you suggest for me to do to upgrade this car , for example what type of speakers or amp do you recommend i get etc... and what cd changer works with this system because i see the system has controls for an additional changer . And last but not least what are the basic upgrades that you believe a person should get when purchasing this car!!!

From a proud new maxima owner!!!!!!
Thanks everyone for reading and hope to hear from everyone.

Wow I just got a headache from reading this novel.
Anyways, congrats on your new Maxima.
First off I have a DEI remote start and am very happy with it. As for your factory alarm remote have you tried changing the battery. Since it's working close range and not far away sounds like a weak signal. As for the system you may seek more info from the following sites:
www.maximadriver.com
www.maxima.org
http://forums.maxima.org
They are great sites to start at and also have many links.
You might try posting on the forums at the Maxima.org you may get more responses/opinions about all of your questions. There is an audio/eletronics page where you might get info on stereo system.

I used to have a Viper remote starter and it worked well.
For sound system it's depend how much money you want
to spend. I would recommend Alphine for amp and MB-Quart
for speaker and it sound pretty good. For security you can
try several thing like alarm or autolock( lock the brake pedal).:jump:

Get the Lo-jack system. Lowjack? However it's spelled. An alarm will lower your insurance but not by that much. Some companies don't care about alarms at all. And if a thief did bypass your noisy little alarm, kiss your car goodbye. The "lowjack" system is a recovery system and it'll give you a real discount on insurance. not to mention if your car is stolen, the police can trace your vehicle and recover it before anybody crashes it or strips it and leaves it for dead. and it increases the chances of those car thief bastards getting sent to jail. yay!
