The drive home

So, I drove to the office, to pick-up some software, for my home computer, which is where I work from, every once-in-a-while (like today). On the drive home, a couple of interesting things happened.

First off, I got to race an older Honda Accord who seemed to be in a hurry, just like I was. Beat him by about 1.5 cars by 60 or so - in my '99 Isuzu Rodeo.

So with that kill out of way, to legitimize this thread, I saw the most awesome thing today.

I saw some of the cars from this: 2004 Bullrun

Among those I saw were:

2004 Mercedes Benz SL600 (twin-turbo V-12, luxury muscle), two of them
2004 Ferrari Challenge Stradale (OMG, that exhaust note sounded NICE)
2004 Lamborghini Murcielago (Pimpness!...and something about V12 exhaust notes give me a chubby...)

There were more cars, but we were on a two lane street, with traffic all around, so I had no room to look at the whole train of cars...

I checked-out their website, and there is supposed to be a Ferrari F-40 in their entourage, but I didn't see it among the cars I was able to get next to .

Anyhow, as I was sitting there in traffic, gawking at the Murc and the Stradale, I realized there was a camera-crew directly in front of me, loaded on the back of a pickup, and I think they took a shot of me drooling at the cars... (I'm on TV mom!)

As my lane was moving faster, I managed to get next to the SL600 at a stop-light, and I managed to yell a little plug for AF to the Merc driver:

Me: Hey! Have you ever heard of Automotiveforums.com?
Him: No!
Me: Check it out! We were talking about the Bullrun! (Hey, a little white lie never hurt anybody, right? - besides, we should've been talking about it )
Him: Automotiveforums.com? I'll check it out!
Me: *grins, and gives thumbs-up*

BTW, according to their site, they are staying at the Phoenician Hotel, here in Phoenix, on Camelback road...and that's where I was, when all this happened, Camelback road, here in Phoenix. It's just too bad I didn't have my digi-cam with me.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it...

It doesn't take much to give you a chubby Arcie... Don't lie.
