anyone made a Rosso ferrari testarossa 512 tr??

can you please post some pix of it. yesterday i saw one at a local shop and i can't decide if i should get it or not. i'm somewhat hesitant, cuz it might look like the revell or the italieri ones (thick tires, small rims, etc.). or juz give comments on how it's molded and the fit. thanks

Read your question and jumped to my digital camera... These pics are about 3 minutes old

I built this kit several years ago, so forgive me if I don't remember the building details anymore...
I do remember that it went together smoothly, without any troubles, and that it looks pretty good to me...

Thumbs up

I have one that I haven't built yet, it seems to be a good kit.

Only if you look from beneath, you know that kind of half-engine that Tamiya often uses as well...

It's got more than just the lower half, but you still need the Tamiya kit for other components.
See the top half on the chassis, lower half with the suspension arms, surge tanks, transfer case cover, and red cam covers.

[Edit] OOPS, I must be wrong, 'cause mine is Fujimi not Rosso. Where's my Rosso kit...[Edit]

Hey, I built the Monogram 512TR kit a few years ago as a gift to my dentist, and I was very impressed with it. It came out really nice, it's a shame I only get to see it twice a year! The rims and tires are actually really nice, not some transplanted crap from some other Monogram muscle car kit or anything. The wheels are satin-plated, not chrome, and they look sweet. I say go for it!

Yes! It's also appauling how 80's Ferrari's look so dated, with the exception of the 288GTO and the F40.

I don't think so. Look at the f355, not much changed from the 348. I think the height of ferrari styling was in the late 80s there are the obvious exceptions though for me.... 62 GTO ....

Only in pictures, put them side by side and they look way different.
