Past work - Callaway Vette

Here's something I put together a while ago, but haven't been shown in my homepage.
The rear wheel was a real pain, and those who have the kit should know how bad it is by looking at the photo on the box.
I had to modify the trailing arms, so that the fat tire could fit.
The front was modified, so that it can steer.

Thumbs up

Looks great! Many people just took the engine from this kit and put it in something else.

Is it just box-stock? How long ago did you do it? Looks great! Nice Engine work!

Those are the same things I was thinking. You couldn't have been too young to make such a nice model. Everything looks amazing.

This is a Monogram kit. And a fine job indeed of building it. Makes me want to work on one of mine.

I'm thinking of taking one of these and combining it w/a coupe roofline to make Callaway coupe. I've only got three of these kits lying around...

Not to the letter of most contest rules, since he's modified the rear suspension and made the front end steerable. Otherwise it looks box stock. He did a nice job getting the hood to fit...a tricky part for Monogram and AMT C4 'Vettes.

Try auction or local swap meet.
In fact, there is one up for sale on eBay, but it's ending soon.
