Help

hey im new here and i have a question for everyone.i have an 86 crx si. and i jsut got an 88 crx hf. i was wondering if i could put the si motor in the hf and if so how. any information would be gretly appreciated.

I'm not so sure you could. 1G integra engines bolt into your SI but wont bolt into your HF. If your gonna do an engine swap at least put something in that'll be worth the time. Even if money is an issue you could get a ZC or a d16a6. Your gonna have to convert the HF to mpfi if you do anything.

why would you wanna put a 1g eninge in an si civic? 5 hp isnt worth doin a swap.

You can put any B series or H series engine in the 86 civic, trust me, I've seen h22's in old crx's, it fits with slight modifications. Putting a large engine in that car isnt very good for balance though, that chassis is extremely light and a heavy engine in their can throw the balance of if you're planning on canyon racing or roadracing. It should be fine for drag racing.
