Nail enamel?

Has anybody tried using nail enamel for models?
Wish i had an airbrush, then i can buy those cheap nail enamel and spray them, some are as cheap as SGD$1 per bottle.

Many people paint their models with it, nail polish is lacquer, not enamel so you just thin it like any other lacquer and airbrush it on.

Even if it is specified "nail enamel"? Why this misnomer?

Could be enamel if it say's so. Not in the habit of buying it so I don't know.

Shouldn't really matter, you can still thin it with lacquer thinner, just like you can thin hobby enamels with lacquer thinner, or even acrylics!

i used to always paint with nail polish, until they started cracking in cold temperatures.........not my truck looks like a lizard.

I used to always get weird looks spending $30 on nail polish at the store.
