Cool Veilside MR-S completed!

This is one of many Fujimi editions of the Toyota MR-S, the Veilside. I primed it with Dupont Variprime and the color is House of Kolor Razberry Pearl, cleared with Tamiya TS-13. The interior color, which is a melon like color, is a custom mix of Polly Scale acrylics, the aluminum color is Finisher's Fine Silver, the steering wheel is a Sparco type from the parts box. The seats have SMS interior pin stripe decal with sections of it removed to make a pattern. The dash, part of the door panel and rear shelf has been carbon fibered with SMS decal. I drilled the fuel door out and installed a Studio 27 fuel fitting. The wheels are Fujimi Andrew Goltdish, the etched brakes are from Studio 27's 350Z etch set trimmed to fit onto the kit brakes. I painted the exhaust tips with TS-14 Gloss Black, and before it dried I sprayed Alclad Chrome on them. I used MV lenses for the head lights/blinkers and to make the Altezza styles tail lights. A nice kit for Fujimi, not too fiddly to build but hard to polish.

OMG that's cool, mine is in the loft now as I've given up with it, too many paint jobs, nothing looked right.

Did you have problems with the rear lights? if I remember they didn't fit well at all.

Thanks all! Yes, they don't fit well, especially the right one? There really isn't a fix for it short of molding your own.

Got it from HLJ, so it was around $25-$28 delivered. The front wheels do steer.

The main thing to remember when building this kit, is to glue the hood gills in with the rear of the gill flush with the hood, and the front of the gill raised. This will save you work when you mold them in. Just look at the pic on the kit box and you'll see what I mean.
