Sponsors

How would you go about getting sponsors. Wher would you go, who would you talk too, what do you have to do all that kind of stuff.

from what i was told...you go around to different auto shops..tell them what you have planned and what you've done and they will either sponsor you or not...most will give you a discount on their stuff....

that's about all i know

It's extremely difficult to get a sponsor usually. It's not like most people think, where you have a minimally modified car and you have a "plan" of what you want to do with the car, and you get money from sponsors to do it. That may have been in the past but not really anymore. Now, you usually already have to have executed the "plan" on your own. And then you can win sponsorship and your sponsors will offer discounts or pay you or do whatever it is they do as your car constantly changes and gets better and better. And if you're in high school, or any kind of school, FORGET IT. The amount of time and money you have to put into a sponsorship is probably not something you'll be able to do while in school. You have to attend shows, events, shops, showings, tons of stuff. Not trying to say it can't be done, just letting you know it's not going to be easy, and DEFINATELY not free. You really have to work for it. But good luck!
