I hear the best way is to use a piece of nylon fishing line to literally "shave" the emblem off. Then use some kind of car paint apporved gunk remover and then take a clay bar and rub it over the area, then wash and wax tha area and you're done.

i heard that your suppose to heat them up with a hairdrier and then peel them off and scrap the stuff off with your finger then get a damp rag and wipe the rest off.

ya hairdryer or heatgun helps a lot, but does make the glue all oozy. try some glu gone, that will help get some of it off too!

Hairdryer doesnt help. U have to get a heatgun, unless u prefer to use a razor and mess up ur paint. I got my heatgun at HOME DEPOT for about 25 bucks. Once you heat the glue up that holds the emblem, take tooth floss and cut through the glue with it. After you will take off the emblems, you will have partial glue particals left on the trunk. You gotta buff it yourself or go to carwash and ask them to do it for u. I did all of this myself.

one thing to emphasize

when taking off remaining glue, dont be stupid and scratch up ur paint going about it, and always make sure to wash and wax the entire car when ur done, so u have a clean finished product

I never got why people do this taking of emblems stuff. I want people to know what I am pushing and I like my car with emblems on it. I seen a max with the emblems off and I dont thinks it looks better than when they have emblems on. Unless ur doing a conversion or sum shit leave it on. If there are any benefits to shaving emblems let the kid know.
