resonator and header
Right now I have a Ractive muffler and the exaust shop said that removing the resonator would make a big difference in performance but
will removing the resonator from the exaust make the car alot louder or just change the sound. i would like to keep my car as quiet as possible so would putting a glass pack in it's place be of any benifit. How much louder would the header make the car.

Leave the resonator in. Removing it will not make any noticeable difference in performance and it will get loud as hell. If you have a stock B pipe, getting a larger one made up with an aftermarket resonator, it should still be quiet and it will flow better. Be aware that exhausts don't really make any power on our cars.
The header won't add any noticeable noise.
