Talking Raced for pinks....well almost

I had just had lunch with Musashi and my g/f and I had to go to see a client. I pull up to a gas station and I go inside to get a drink. When I come out There is a white 350z parked across the pump from me. I start to fill up and a guy about my age keeps looking at me and my car. I look at his and notice the paper tag on the 350.
"what?" I ask him.
He looks at my car again, "you're a member of the team wingmen right?"
"yeah that's what it says. Why?"
"well three of my friends are starting a team and they said if I beat a member of wingmen I can join"
me "and what are they called?"
he shrugs "they don't have a name yet, but one is a blue 05 v6 mustang, one is an 06 IS250 and one is a Sentra SER spec V"
"do they live South of the expressway (edited)?" He nods "Small world, listen the reason why they wanted you to race one of us is because they lost to my jetta"
He looks at my car, "I won't lose"
"care to put your car on that statement?"
Him "naw I just got my car"
"but if you're so sure you'll win then why don't you show me some pinks?"
"no thanks, how about the cash I have in my pocket? I have 15"
Me "that pays for my gas to where I need to go, Deal."

I take him to a completely empty street by my office that is a little more than a 1/4 mile. We race and I hear the guy short shifting throught the race. I had about 4-6 cars by the end, not sure exactly.

I thought to myself Damn it I wouldve had a Z! I told the Kid to tell his friends that he beat me just so they would let him in and that he should describe my car and how I look so that way they will believe him. But I got 15 bucks YO!

Good kill. Hard to find those 15 sec. 350Z's J/K

On the street it's different then the track. It usually grips better.

I want a JTI, 20th anniversary GTI with a Jetta front end, looks so freakin nice, VW should done that to begin with instead of me having to do the conversion.

Nice race though Gotian, but theres no way in hell I would race for pinks though, specially with a brand new Z. And the wingmen are starting to make a name for themselves, interesting...

Nice kill... It's pretty cool that the dude actually stopped and gave you the cash and didn't do some ricer fly by after the race was over... haha.

I am seriously considering a VW Gti 1.8t... the R32s are very sweet with 3.2L V6 and AWD but they're a bit out of my price range. I'm thinking 02-04 model maybe. I already have an experienced VW mechanic who has extremely good rates and we've known for many years...

he couldnt do a ricer flyby cause there wasnt any room to do it, the street ended and he wouldve gone into some houses.

and yeah a 02-04 is good for the gti, you can grab an 04 for a little over 14k
