Post 4WD Steering weirdness
Wierdness being a very technical term.
2000 Cherokee Classic. After I take it out of 4wd, when turning hard (both left or right) I get a heavy shaking in the steering. This condition goes away after a bit of driving. Any ideas? Thanks. Dan |

Re: Post 4WD Steering weirdness
It may be that it's not coming out of 4wd quickly. Try driving straight for 20 yards or so, and add and let off the gas a few times. Some mild "s" turns will also help. In my 2000 GC, I'll usually hear a thump as it comes out of 4wd.

Re: Post 4WD Steering weirdness
I would try a short stint in reverse and/or forward going straight after shifting out of 4wd. Often times the 4wd system can bind or lock into 4wd and have a hard time releasing right away. I am pretty sure it is just getting stuck in 4wd.
