tacho terminal need help

i need help with my tacho terminal i dont know where to put the wire i have looked for the left strut tower,it is usually taped back to the loom. It is a single terminal with a little plastic insualtor over it. It is fed from the DFI module (under the coil packs).
i fined it but no power in the wire can i just put the terminal wire on my multi coil and if so what wire can i use i was also tolded i can put the terminal wire on my electronic ignition if so where is te electronic inition on a vp 92 thanks kaneovp
